Frequently Asked Questions

The Wicksteed Open Air Theatre opens from 4.30PM and you will be able to enjoy a range of food and drink options from our suppliers, before you take your seats. Every event will be slightly different but generally entertainment will commence at approximately 7PM, followed by either one or two intervals depending on the style of the event and all events are planned to finish by 10:30pm. 

The event set times will be released approximately one week before the concert. Please check our website for updates.


Wicksteed Park opens to the general public at 10.30am. 

Your Wicksteed Open Air Theatre ticket will allow you to arrive at any time during the day of the concert and enjoy the picturesque grounds of Wicksteed Park. 

If you would like to visit the Parks rides, you can purchase a half price wristband from our ticket page. Park & Gardens access is completely FREE of charge. For more information on what Wicksteed Park has to offer, please click here 

We recommend that you consider all the options on our Travel tab before making your plans for getting to Wicksteed Park.

If you do decide to drive, please be aware that Wicksteed Park’s infrastructure wasn’t designed for a large number of cars to depart simultaneously at the end of a concert. The main exit, despite our best efforts, can become congested at peak times, so we ask for your patience and consideration when departing the event. 

Re-entry to the event is not permitted. We advise that you bring everything you need for the concert with you when you first enter. However, we do understand that certain extreme circumstances can arise where leaving the event is essential. In this case, security will use their discretion and permission won’t be unreasonably withheld. 

Under 16s (15 years and under) must be accompanied by an adult at all times. We are NOT able to issue refunds to under 14s who are not accompanied by an adult. Wicksteed Open Air Theatre operates a ‘babe in arms’ policy so, if you are able to have your baby (of up to 3 years of age) on your lap for the duration of the concert, you do not have to buy them a ticket.

Wicksteed Open Air Theatre is the UKs largest open air, all seated arena and the show will go ahead in all weathers unless the conditions become dangerous. We recommend that you check the weather forecast beforehand to ensure you dress appropriately.

Please note, umbrellas are not allowed within The Arena due to the restrictions of views to other guests.  

There will be a selection of food and drink vendors that cater for all tastes, including vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. A complete list of our food vendors will be released on the lead up to the events. 

Safe water points will be available on site. 

There will be toilets available on site. These will be positioned close to the Main Entrance and Food/Bar areas. Accessible Toilets will be clearly signposted around the arena. 

The medical tent will be open for the duration of all events should you need medical attention or have any medical concerns. 

The site is generally flat and accessible however please consider that there are some areas of gravel, cobbles and green fields. As is the nature of outdoor event sites, the ground can be uneven, and conditions underfoot can be affected by weather and heavy footfall.

Please wear sensible shoes and take care in areas where ground is uneven or has been affected by adverse weather.

There will be merchandise outlets around the arena selling all artist and Wicksteed Open Air Theatre Merchandise. 

We have certain restrictions on the items allowed within the Arena. 

Please note, we do allow sealed bottles of water up to 750ml to be brought into the Arena and empty unsealed bottles can be brought in to be refilled at the water points

Please pack light and keep your belongings to a minimum. To maximise the safety of everyone attending, all customers will be subject to a thorough security check when they arrive. 

Please be patient if there are queues and familiarise yourself with the below prohibited items before you arrive to avoid unnecessary delays at the security checks. 

There are certain items that are not permitted into the event or specifically seating area. Do not bring any of the following:


  • Chairs (however, you can bring a blanket for the grass)
  • Umbrellas
  • Alcohol
  • Food and drink (except sealed water bottle up to 750ml)
  • Glass
  • Cameras, film or video equipment with a lens greater than 6inches
  • Unrecognisable substances or medication without a doctor’s note or prescription
  • Drones
  • Dogs (with the exception of registered assistance dogs)

For the enjoyment and safety of others we also reserve the right to stop the following items from coming into the event:

  • Any item which we reasonably deem may cause danger, offence or disruption to any other person (for example: large sound systems, fireworks)
  • Any item which may be used as a weapon (for example: kitchen knives, corrosive substances)

No, we operate a complete cashless system to allow speed of service to make the customer experience as positive as possible. We accept most major credit and debit cards for contactless or manual payments. If you forget your cards on the day we will have a token stand close to the entrance where you will be able to exchange cash for tokens to be used at the bars.

Please do not buy from an unofficial ticket agent. Tickets bought from unofficial agents are not valid and admission may not be granted to the concert. If you are in doubt as to whether a ticket agent is official, please contact us in advance of the ticket purchase and we will be happy to assist

No, Wicksteed Open Air Theatre operates strictly seated only events.

The Box Office is positioned at the Main Entrance and will be open for ticket sales (subject to availability), collections and to deal with ticketing issues on concert days from 1pm to 8pm.

Please refer to the terms and conditions of the ticket agent you purchased your tickets through for details on dispatch and delivery.

If you didn’t purchase your tickets via our website from Easy Ticketing, please contact your ticket provider directly.

The name on the ticket does not have to match the person using it, however, re-sale of tickets (other than using the service from Easy Ticketing) is strictly forbidden and could result in your tickets being cancelled.

Tickets are non-refundable. Our ticket partner EASY TICKETING is currently working on a feature to allow you to resell tickets through their resale service. Please check back soon for updates on this service becoming available.

Wicksteed park, Barton Road, Kettering, NN15 6NJ


We are easy to find when using a Sat Nav, just enter NN15 6NJ and you will get straight here via Burton Road. Wicksteed Park is situated in the heart of Kettering only a 3 minute drive from the town centre. We are within a  1 hour drive away from London, Birmingham, Oxford and cambridge. We are located 2 miles from the A14 and we are signposted from the M1 &A1. Here is some other useful information when arriving into Kettering via the main routes, 
From M1 northbound – leave at junction 15 – A45 to Northampton, A43 to Kettering

From M1 southbound – leave at junction 19 – A14 to Kettering
From A1 northbound, A14 (M1/A1 Link Road) to Kettering
From A1 southbound, A43 from Stamford to Kettering

There is limited parking available to purchase on site, you can purchase these alongside your admission ticket here

The nearest train station is Kettering train station. Trains run regularly to Kettering from London St Pancras.

If you are being dropped off before the event or picked up after, please tell the driver to follow signs to the Pick Up/Drop Off area. This will be clearly signposted and is situated a short walk from the Main Entrance.
